Ideal Candidate

Key Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, and install drywall panels on walls and ceilings.
  • Secure drywall using appropriate screws, fasteners, and installation techniques.
  • Install drywall around doors, windows, electrical outlets, plumbing, and other fixtures.
  • Apply joint tape, joint compound, and corner bead.
  • Finish seams, joints, inside and outside corners, and fastener heads to a smooth, professional finish.
  • Sand and prepare finished surfaces for primer and paint.
  • Identify and repair imperfections, cracks, holes, and damaged drywall.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, measurements, and project specifications.
  • Maintain accurate measurements and minimize material waste.
  • Protect floors, fixtures, and finished surfaces during installation and finishing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, contractors, and other trades on the job site.
  • Complete projects according to established quality standards and timelines.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience hanging and finishing drywall preferred.
  • Exceptional work ethic. 
  • Strong knowledge of drywall installation and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install drywall.
  • Ability to produce a smooth, professional Level 4/Level 5 finish when required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to safely lift and maneuver drywall sheets and other materials.
  • Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and scaffolding when required.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry drywall and construction materials.
  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
  • Ability to work overhead for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding construction work throughout the workday.
